Yathzi Turcot
Visual Artist | Hidalgo, Mexico
Multidisciplinary artist, teaching artist, and entrepreneur. Her work ranges from painting, photography, paper mache to digital media.
Born and raised in Actopan, Hidalgo, Mexico, lived in the Northwest since 1999. Her biggest work is as a teaching artist, aiming to inspire and share her Mexican roots and folklore. She has been a member of IdeAL PDX collective since 2016. Turcot appreciates and enjoys the time spent creating street murals with art masters like Jose Solis and William Hernandez, learning from them has been the highlight for 2021.
Yathzi also mentions that with support from IDEAL, many art opportunities have arisen.
