Veronica Arquilevich Guzmán

Mixed Media Artist | Mexico

Veronica concentrates her artwork on ceramics but also loves to paint. Her journey with clay began in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where the enthralling city inspired her to create pieces influenced by nature. Recently, she has been crafting her own ceramic Alebrijes, based on the famous spiritual and magical animals of Oaxaca, Mexico. This work reflects her concern for protecting endangered animals and aims to inspire people to respect nature and the life around us.

Veronica's painting work includes a series of encaustics of the ocean, inspired by her admiration for surfers. She starts with an oil painting on paper, canvas, or panel, and then blends pigments and melted wax to add layers, creating depth and drama. Her art often focuses on themes of conservation, social awareness, and the exploration of nature and other cultures. Veronica is continually fascinated by the discoveries in her life and how they are expressed through her art.
